Leah Price is the Henry Rutgers Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University since 2019, specializing in book history, the novel, and gender studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Yale (1998) and an A.B. in Literature from Harvard (1991). Her research focuses on the materiality of books and cultural history, founding the Initiative for the Book at Rutgers. She has authored multiple acclaimed books, including What We Talk About When We Talk About Books and How to Do Things with Books in Victorian Britain, earning awards like the Christian Gauss Prize and Patten Prize. Her work appears in London Review of Books, New York Times Book Review, and more.
