Dr. Leah Fusco is an Associate Professor and Course Leader for the MA Illustration program at Kingston School of Art, Kingston University. An artist and researcher, she holds a PhD in Design Practice from Kingston University and an MA in Communication Art and Design from the Royal College of Art.
Research explores geographic and historic subject matter through place-based investigation, employing mapping, narrative, and imaging technologies. Work bridges documentary practices, visual communication, and cultural interpretation, with projects spanning publishing, exhibition, and public engagement.
Collaborates with cultural sector partners to examine how visual representation methods—from traditional drawing to remote sensing—shape understanding of place and history.
