Leah Booth is an Instructor of Clinical Speech Pathology at the Yale Child Study Center, part of the Yale School of Medicine. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in evaluating and treating communication disorders in children and adults with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She serves on multidisciplinary teams, provides clinical supervision for Pivotal Response Training (PRT) research, and advises schools and families on fostering social-communication skills. Ms. Booth holds an MA from the University of Maryland at College Park (1994).
Her expertise includes communication evaluation, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and implementing visual strategies and technological tools to enhance communication. She is also affiliated with the Ventola Lab and Yale Medicine, contributing to research and clinical practice. Ms. Booth lectures at Yale University, trains professionals internationally, and has authored chapters on communication assessment and social development.
She is actively involved in community outreach, providing workshops for parents and educators on supporting individuals with ASD. Her clinical offices are located across multiple Yale Medicine sites, including New Haven and Madison, CT.
