Dr Lea Vuong is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Sydney's School of Languages and Cultures, specializing in modern and contemporary French and Francophone literature and visual arts. She holds a PhD (King's College London) and MA (King's College London), with prior teaching roles at the University of Manchester and University of St Andrews.
Her research focuses on Louise Bourgeois's artistic and literary oeuvre, Francophone Oceania's cultural production, and the cultural legacy of Paris's Bièvre river. She co-edited Francophone Oceania Today (2024) and organized the 2023 symposium on 'Arts and Environmental Concerns in Oceania'.
Teaching includes Visual Cultures and Cross-Cultural Literature and Film courses. She supervises HDR and Honours students on French and Francophone topics.
