Lazić Mladen is a Full Professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade University. He has held guest professorships at Vienna University and CEU University, Warsaw, and served in leadership roles including Chair of the Curriculum Committee at Alternative Academic Educational Network (Belgrade) and Director of the International Sociological Summer School on Stratification and Elites. His career spans over three decades, with affiliations to institutions in Serbia, Croatia, France, and Germany.

Research Focus: Lazić specializes in social stratification, economic and political elites, postsocialist transformation, and ethnic relations. His work explores power dynamics during Serbia's transition from state socialism to market economies, elite formation processes, and the role of value systems in societal change. He has led major projects on re-stratification in Yugoslav society and social integration in Serbia.
