Prof. Layi Alatise is a Professor and Royal Society Industry Fellow in Power Electronics at the University of Warwick's School of Engineering. His academic journey includes a BEng (First Class Hons.) and PhD in Microelectronics from Newcastle University, followed by industry roles at NXP Semiconductors and Atmel. He leads research in advanced power semiconductor materials, energy conversion systems, and wide-bandgap devices, focusing on reliability and efficiency. His work spans over 150 peer-reviewed publications and significant grants from UKRI, EPSRC, and Innovate UK.
