Lawrence Spear is a Principal Research Scholar at the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University, working within the Quantum DNA (QDNA) Research Group since December 2019. He collaborates with Prof. Bill Knowlton and Dr. Bernard Yurke on nanoscale materials and quantum DNA research. Prior to academia, Spear spent two decades in industry focused on data management, retrieval, and content creation.
His research interests span nanotechnology, quantum computing applications, and DNA-based materials engineering, leveraging expertise in data systems to advance materials science. Spear’s work contributes to the development of novel nanoscale devices and energy band modeling.
