Lawrence Kaplan, MD, MHPE, MACP is a Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean for Interprofessional Education at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. A board-certified internist and Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he has dedicated his career to Medical Education, Clinical Decision-Making, and Interprofessional Collaboration in healthcare settings.
- MD (1986) and MHPE (2024) from Temple University and University of Illinois-Chicago respectively
- Completed residency at Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospitals (1989) and faculty development fellowship at Johns Hopkins (1993)
His research focuses on Medical Education and Clinical Skills Training, with publications in Academic Medicine, Teaching and Learning in Medicine, and Nursing Education Perspectives. Key themes include:
