Lawrence Culver is an Associate Professor of History at Utah State University, specializing in U.S.-Mexico Borderlands, American West, environmental history, and urban development. He earned his PhD from UCLA (2004), MA from Utah State (1997), and BA from University of Montevallo (1994). His research focuses on climate history, leisure landscapes, and the intersection of cultural and environmental narratives. Culver has held prestigious fellowships at the Rachel Carson Center (University of Munich) and the Huntington Library. His current book project, *Manifest Disaster: Climate and the Making of America*, explores historical climate perceptions and national expansion.
