Lawrence Chiarelli

Lawrence Chiarelli is an Industry Professor and Program Director for the undergraduate and graduate construction management programs at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He also serves as the faculty advisor for the student chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and directs the IDC Innovation Hub. Chiarelli is a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive experience in structural engineering, construction project management, and contract management.

Professional Experience: Prior to joining NYU, Chiarelli was Special Counsel at Duane Morris LLP (2008–2023), Counsel at Thelen LLP (2006–2008), and held roles as structural engineer, project manager, and contract manager across multiple international firms.

Labs & Teams: He directs the IDC Innovation Hub at NYU Tandon, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in construction management and urban engineering.
