Laveesh Bhandari

Laveesh Bhandari is a Visiting Professor and Senior Fellow at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), with a distinguished academic and professional background in economics. He has previously taught at Boston University and IIT Delhi, and founded three companies in research, analytics, and digital domains, including the prominent economic research firm Indicus Analytics.

Dr. Bhandari’s research focuses on sustainable livelihoods, economic and social reforms in India, financial inclusion, and energy transition, with recent work analyzing the economic and governmental impacts of India’s shift toward renewable energy systems.

His academic contributions have been recognized with the Best Thesis in International Economics award during his PhD studies. He also bridges academia and industry through entrepreneurial ventures and policy-oriented research.
