Laurin Parker

Laurin Parker, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Delaware State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminology with a concentration in Law and Society from the University of Delaware (2014). Her work focuses on corrections systems, prisoner reentry program efficacy, juvenile justice dynamics, and the intersection of race, class, and gender in criminal justice frameworks.

From 2015-2017, Dr. Parker collaborated with the University of Delaware’s Center for Drug and Health Studies on the Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success Grant. She provided technical assistance and led workshops addressing alcohol and substance misuse with community agencies. Her research emphasizes practical solutions for systemic challenges in reentry programs and equitable justice practices.
