Laurie Hauber serves as Director of Experiential Education and Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Oregon School of Law. She oversees all clinical and externship programs, co-instructs the Business Law Clinic, and supervises Moot Court activities. Her career focuses on community economic development, affordable housing, and transactional legal services for marginalized entrepreneurs.
Education: Harvard College graduate; JD, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School. Professional Background: Founded Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s Community Economic Development Program (award-winning); directed Vanderbilt Law School’s Community & Economic Development Clinic (2004–2009); and pioneered the Economic Justice Project in Boston. Recognized with the Missouri Women’s Justice Public Service Practitioner Award and other accolades.
Research emphasizes clinical legal education and economic justice. Active in nonprofit governance, she serves on multiple boards and has designed curricula on business law topics. Authored influential articles on clinical pedagogy and entrepreneurship law.
