Laurie A. Gallo

Dr. Laurie A. Gallo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center. She holds dual roles as a clinical researcher and Attending Psychologist, specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-related disorders. She co-leads an NIH-funded grant (IMPOWR-ME) investigating ACT for co-morbid chronic pain and opioid use disorder in primary care settings.

Education & Training:

• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University (SUNY)
• Pre-doctoral internship at Syracuse VA Medical Center
• Postdoctoral training in CBT at New York Presbyterian Hospital
