She has led projects using Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor) to study prey availability, nest thermoregulation, and foraging behavior in artificial vs. natural wetlands.
- Ph.D. in Biology (UCLA)
- Postdoctoral work at UCLA, SCCWRP, FAU, and EPA
Her research areas span ecosystem dynamics, conservation biology, and ecotoxicology. Recent publications examine nonpoint source nutrient management, shorebird habitat use, and seagrass epiphytes. Key collaborations include Dr. Leslie Clifford (Mansfield University), US Army Corps of Engineers, and Pennsylvania State Parks.
- Professional Enhancement Grant (2019)
- Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Fellowship
