Lauri Alkki is a Doctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Management and Business, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Tampere University. His research focuses on circular economy principles within industrial ecosystems, with particular emphasis on construction and manufacturing sectors. He investigates topics such as digital technologies enabling circular value chains, material flow interactions, and institutional drivers for sustainability innovations.
His research interests include circular economy business models, component reuse strategies, and the application of technologies like digital twins and IoT in sustainable industrial processes. He is affiliated with the CITER – Center for Innovation and Technology Research, exploring interdisciplinary approaches to innovation and resource efficiency.
