Laurence Sullivan is an Associate Lecturer at the Centre for Academic English and Skills, University of Worcester. He holds a PhD in English Literature from Northumbria University (2023), an MA in Shakespeare and Theatre from the University of Birmingham, and a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre from the University of Kent. His research focuses on literary representations of women’s domestic medicine in 18th-century society, emphasizing how medical self-help empowered women to take control of health within their communities.
Teaching interests include English and Drama across secondary and higher education. His creative work spans literary publications such as 'Londonist', 'NHK World-Japan', and his chapbook Bouquet of Goodbyes (2023). Academic publications explore intersections of gender, medicine, and literature.
