Professor Laurence Hemming is an Honorary Professor at Lancaster University Management School's Organisation Work and Technology department. His research focuses on Martin Heidegger's philosophy (particularly 1936–1949), G.W.F. Hegel's philosophical systems, classical thought interpretation, and their intersections with modern technological and managerial theory. His recent work explores Nietzsche's classical reception and comparative analysis of Jünger and Heidegger's technological critiques.
Active in international academic engagement, Hemming has presented at numerous conferences including the 10th Annual Madsen Lecture, 31st North Texas Heidegger Symposium, and University of London workshops. He specializes in philosophical interpretations of work, cybernetics, and subjectivity.
