Laurence Giavarini is a Lecturer in 17th century French literature at the University of Burgundy, where she has been teaching since 1998. She is a member of the LIR3S research center (UMR 3507) and an associate member of the Grihl (Groupe de Recherche Interdisciplinaire sur l'Histoire du Littéraire), where she co-hosts the "Writings of the Past. Literature and History: Methods, Theories, Fields" seminar. Her academic career includes serving as an elected member of section 35 of the CNRS National Committee from 2009-2016 and obtaining her Accreditation to Direct Research (HDR) from the University of Paris III in 2017.
