Marcella Leopizzi is an Associate Professor in French Literature at the Department of Humanities, University of Salento. She specializes in 16th-17th century French literature, the libertine movement, and contemporary poetry. Her research focuses on authors like Charles Sorel, François Rosset, and Alain-René Lesage, alongside poets such as Eugène Guillevic and Henri Meschonnic. She has held leadership roles, including directing a teaching program for secondary education and serving on doctoral committees. Leopizzi is an international academic leader, co-chairing the CIR XVIIe siècle (2024–2026) and the North American Society for Seventeenth-Century French Literature (2017–2019). She has organized major conferences, including the 2018 NASSCFL in Lecce, and contributed to initiatives like the 'Notte Europea dei Ricercatori.'
