Dr. Lauren Walker is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Teesside University's School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law. She holds a PhD from Northumbria University (2018) and a BPS-accredited MSc in Health Psychology. Her research focuses on health psychology, particularly how individuals integrate online health information into decision-making, social media platforms like TikTok's role in health communication, and Virtual Reality applications for well-being. She is a module leader for Psychological Research Methods and contributes to teaching across multiple levels, including interventions in health psychology and qualitative research methods. Dr. Walker leads or co-leads several funded projects, including ecotherapy interventions for severe mental illness and peer support training programs. She actively supervises PhD students and has secured grants from organizations like Middlesbrough Council and NIHR ARC. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and qualitative methodologies.
