She holds a PhD in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and specializes in statistical methods for intensive longitudinal data analysis.
- Research Focus: Time series analysis, dimension reduction techniques (exploratory factor analysis, principal component analysis), and psychometric modeling
- Department: Computer, Data, and Mathematical Sciences
- Email: lauren.trichtinger@simmons.edu
Her methodological work addresses challenges in dynamic factor analysis and data reduction approaches. She has published multiple papers in psychometrics journals like Psychometrika and Multivariate Behavioral Research, focusing on factor analysis techniques for non-normal data and model error quantification.
Lauren teaches statistics courses including Introductory Statistics, Intermediate Statistics, Introduction to Data Science, and Special Topics in Statistics. As an active member of the Psychometric Society, American Psychological Association, and Caucus for Women in Statistics, she contributes to advancing quantitative methods in psychological research.
