Lauren Morry is a Post-Award Visitor at the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Theology and Religion and a Research Fellow at the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies. She also serves as the University Research Ethics Officer at Oxford Brookes University. Her work focuses on religious identity’s intersection with public life, including the Church of England’s engagement with Islam and ethnographic studies on Orthodox Christian conversion in the UK.
Lauren holds a DPhil (2023) from the University of Oxford, where her doctoral research examined church-state dynamics and religious diversity. She has taught courses on Religion and Religions, Sociology of Religion, and the Nature of Religion, and has supervised undergraduate theses.
Her current research explores conversion narratives within Orthodox Christian communities, combining ethnographic methods with theological analysis. No specific grants or lab affiliations are mentioned, though her role at Oxford Brookes involves ethical oversight across disciplines.
