Lauren McIntyre

Lauren McIntyre serves as a Lecturer of Dance at Purchase College, State University of New York within the Conservatory of Dance, while concurrently holding a clinical specialist position at NYU Langone Medical Center's Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. In her clinical role, she provides essential backstage medical care for Broadway productions and professional dance companies, conducts injury prevention screenings, and delivers specialized educational lectures to the global dance community.

Dr. McIntyre's expertise bridges athletic training and dance performance through her dual roles. Her primary research focus encompasses dance-specific injury prevention, performance health optimization, and evidence-based rehabilitation protocols for dancers. She actively translates clinical knowledge into practical applications that address the unique physiological demands of dance through community education and on-site medical support.

As an integral member of the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries team, she collaborates with orthopedic specialists, physical therapists, and sports medicine physicians in a multidisciplinary approach to dancer healthcare, providing both emergency intervention during performances and proactive wellness programs.
