Emma Faulkner

Emma Faulkner is a Lecturer in the Dance & Movement Studies Program at Emory University, combining her expertise in physical therapy and dance. She holds a DPT from Emory University (2015) and a BS in Exercise and Sport Science from Elon University (2012), with minors in Dance Performance, Choreography, and Public Health. Her professional roles include serving as a primary therapist for Atlanta Ballet and operating a private practice under Atlanta Dance Medicine.

Her research focuses on dance medicine, choreography-specific training, hypermobility management, and injury prevention. Teaching emphasizes integrating anatomical science with experiential learning to empower students' physical awareness. She also explores dancer photography and continues performing in Atlanta.
