Dr. Lauren M. Baumann is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a pediatric surgeon at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. She also practices at St. Vincent Healthcare SCL Health Medical Group in Billings, MT.

Her research focuses on global surgery and international health, with fieldwork in Peru and Mexico. Her clinical expertise includes chest wall deformities, minimally invasive surgery, neonatal procedures, and treatment of appendicitis, hernias, gallbladder disease, and congenital anomalies. She has authored studies on surgical complications, recovery metrics, and global health interventions.
