Lauren Joyce

Lauren Joyce is a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University's Sheffield Institute of Social Sciences, where she serves as module leader for 'Inequalities, Health and Poverty' and 'Public Health Practice' in the Masters in Public Health program.

Her research interests include:

• Health inequalities and poverty
• Alcohol misuse and substance abuse
• Motivational interviewing techniques
• Fatherhood roles in child protection
• Social work practice

With 15 years of frontline experience in public health and substance misuse fields, Dr. Joyce brings practical expertise to her academic work, particularly in alcohol dependency and cognitive impairment cases.

She supervises postgraduate dissertations in Public Health and contributes to Social Work and Nutrition programs through specialist lectures.
