Laurel Phoenix is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Environmental Policy and Planning department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's College of Public & Environmental Affairs. Her research focuses on water resources management, drinking water quality, and resilient community planning in the context of climate change.
Education
- Ph.D. in Watershed Management & Hydrology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry
- M.A. and B.A. in Geography from the University of Colorado, Boulder
Research addresses wastewater decision-making on Washington Island and comparative studies of catastrophic flooding planning in Green Bay and Houghton.
Courses taught include Water & Land Planning and Management, Transitioning to Sustainable Communities, Building Sustainable Landscapes, and Environmental Planning.
