Education:
- Ecole Normale Supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud (ENS), 1996
- Agrégation, 1999
- Doctorate (2003), University of Toulouse 2, thesis: 'The Feminine Imagination in the Novels of Frances Burney', supervised by Jean-Louis Breteau, with unanimous congratulations and 'very honorable mention'.
Her research centers on 18th and 19th-century British women's writing, particularly the works of Frances Burney, examining themes of the feminine imagination, communication, and social performance. More recently, she has expanded her research to contemporary media, analyzing posthumanism and gender in television series such as Westworld and Dracula. Her work bridges literary analysis with cultural and feminist theory.
Her publications include two major monographs: L'imagination féminine chez Frances Burney (2010) and Lifting the Veil: Disruption and Order in Frances Burney's Evelina (2013). Her recent articles explore the evolution of the vampire in modern adaptations, the role of music in challenging gender norms, and the critical reception of feminist literary scholarship. The publications reveal a consistent engagement with feminist literary criticism, adaptation studies, and the intersection of narrative form with identity and power.
