Laura Ugolini is a Professor of History at the University of Wolverhampton, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Business, and Social Sciences. She serves as Director of the Centre for the History of Retailing and Distribution (CHORD) and specializes in British gender history, with a focus on 19th and early 20th century masculinities and male identities.

She contributes to journals like First World War Studies and Fashion Theory.
Recent publications highlight intersections of gender, consumer culture, and military history. She actively collaborates with the Digital Humanities Lab on authorship attribution projects using AI. Laura supervises PhD students in topics ranging from military conscription to consumer credit history and social housing. She organizes CHORD seminars and conferences on retailing, distribution, and textiles, and serves on editorial boards like Home Front Studies.
