Laura Savarese is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Michigan State University College of Law. Her research focuses on legal history, examining how substantive law, procedural systems, and state institutions have shaped familial relationships over time.
- Education: B.A. from Harvard College, J.D. from Yale Law School, Ph.D. candidate in Yale Department of History (expected 2024), and MSt from University of Oxford.
Dr. Savarese previously held a Golieb Fellowship at NYU School of Law and clerked for Judge Rowan D. Wilson of the New York Court of Appeals. She also served as a summer associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York. Her work bridges historical analysis with contemporary legal frameworks governing family-state dynamics.
