Laura Sanchez Martin

Laura Sanchez Martin serves as a University Professor in the Department of Food Chemistry and Technology at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), holding this position since April 23, 2019. She has been affiliated with UPM since October 22, 2014, initially as a Profesora Contratada Doctora. Her institutional roles include membership in the Research Group on Pollution of Agroecosystems by Agricultural Practices (since June 14, 2005) and the Center for Studies and Research on Agricultural and Environmental Risk Management (CEIGRAM), a joint UPM-AGROSEGURO-ENESA initiative (since January 23, 2018).

Her research spans critical interdisciplinary domains at the intersection of agriculture and environmental systems:

• Soil Science and Environmental Chemistry
• Agronomy, Crop Science, and Animal Science
• Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, and Global Change
• Ecology and Microbiology of agroecosystems

This work focuses on agricultural pollution mechanisms, risk assessment in food production systems, and sustainable management of environmental resources. Her methodologies integrate laboratory analysis with field studies to address contamination pathways in soil-water-atmosphere interfaces.
