Professor Laura Roberts is the Associate Dean for Education in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Swansea University. Previously, she served as School Education Lead for Biosciences, Geography and Physics (2021–22) and Director of Learning and Teaching for the College of Science (2019–2021). Her roles focus on enhancing learning, teaching, and assessment practices, program development, and strategic delivery of undergraduate/postgraduate programs. She holds a PhD in Conservation Biology (2010) and a PGCE, lecturing in Biosciences since 2011. Her disciplinary expertise spans Ecology and Freshwater Biology, with a focus on pedagogical innovation in higher education.
Research interests include ecology education, assessment practices, and graduate employability. She leads field courses in conservation and ecology, aligning with industry standards.
