Laura Ricciardi

Laura Ricciardi is an Assistant Professor of Arts Management and Law and Justice Studies at the State University of New York - Purchase College, School of Liberal Studies. She holds a BA from Yale University (Magna Cum Laude) and a JD from New York University School of Law. Her research explores the legal dimensions of public monuments, cyberbullying regulation, and the intersection of law with creative expression. She teaches courses such as Arts and Entertainment Law and Copyright and Culture.

Professionally, she advises creative industries and non-profits, while her artistic practice investigates themes like identity, language, and collective memory. Notable works include the Sing for Hope Pianos installations (2013, 2015), which integrated tactile art for visually impaired audiences. She volunteers with Sing for Hope and the Lulu and Leo Foundation.

Her interdisciplinary approach bridges legal scholarship and creative arts, emphasizing the role of law in shaping cultural narratives and public spaces. Office hours: Monday and Wednesday 10:00-12:00.
