Laura Puzzello is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Monash University. She holds a PhD in Economics from Purdue University (2010) and a Master in Development Economics from the University of Sussex (2004). Her research focuses on International Trade, particularly input trade dynamics, trade and environmental impacts, and Health Economics, including the effects of cigarette taxes on smoking behaviors. She also contributes to Applied Econometrics and International Economics. Puzzello is affiliated with Monash's Impact Labs and has collaborated on interdisciplinary projects, such as the 2020-2024 project "Balancing National Security and Economic Interests in Foreign Investment" with the University of Melbourne, serving as a Chief Investigator.
