Laura Pastorino is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering (DIBRIS) at the University of Genoa. She is affiliated with the Polytechnic Interschool Section and holds roles such as Member of the School Council and Member of the Department Board. Her teaching is conducted entirely in English, focusing on advanced topics like biomaterials, cellular and tissue engineering, and personalized medicine. Her research interests span bioengineering, biomaterials, and medical applications, with a focus on cancer research, tissue engineering, and multi-omics approaches. Recent work includes studies on AFM probes for cancer cell analysis, zebrafish models of neurodegenerative diseases, and hydrogel systems for cancer modeling. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects in biomedical engineering and bioengineering education.
