Michela Chiappalone is an Associate Professor at the University of Genoa's Department of Computer Science, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering (DIBRIS), affiliated with the Polytechnic Interschool Section. She teaches specialized courses including Neural and Brain-Computer Interfaces, Neural Signal Analysis, and Neuroengineering Research Track for the Master's Degree in Bioengineering and Degree Course in Orthopaedic Techniques.
Her research expertise spans:
- Neural signal processing and decoding techniques
- Brain-computer interface development
- Neuroprosthetics and neural rehabilitation systems
- Biomedical instrumentation for neural applications
- Computational neuroscience methods
