Laura Morgan is a Lecturer in Accounting at Ulster University Business School, within the Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics on the Belfast campus. She serves as Course Director for the BSc (Hons) Accounting with Management (Part-time/Degree Apprenticeship) programme and has been with the University since 2018.

Laura Morgan specializes in accounting education with emphasis on audit and assurance, risk management, and financial accounting. She employs interactive teaching methods, case studies, hands-on exercises, and real-world applications to enhance student learning. Her research and teaching interests center around accounting pedagogy, degree apprenticeships, and the integration of professional practice with academic learning. She redesigned the Level 5 'skills for work' module to incorporate active employer engagement, with nine employers participating in 2024.
Laura has received multiple recognitions for her teaching excellence, including Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in April 2024. Her programme was shortlisted for an 'Excellence in Education' Award at the Irish Accountancy Awards in May 2024.

Laura serves as an external examiner for CPA Strategic Level Advanced Audit and Assurance Exams and teaches for Chartered Accountants Ireland. She has significantly expanded her program through marketing activities, organizing insight events and school conferences, with 21 employers now involved. She has coordinated multiple modules including ACF 117, ACF 339, ACF 360, ACF 517, ACF 746, and ACF 703 across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
