Laura Marthaler is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Vermont (UVM), affiliated with the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. She joined the Computer Science department in 2024 after six years in UVM's Department of Mathematics & Statistics. Previously, she worked in defense contracting and as a DoD civilian, focusing on telecommunications, cryptology, and training military/civilian personnel. Before UVM, she taught part-time at the Community College of Vermont. Her expertise spans telecommunications, combinatorics, and graph theory, reflected in courses like CS 1640 (Discrete Structures) and CS 2240 (Data Structures & Algorithms).
