Laura M. Oppermann

Laura M. Oppermann, DPT, PT serves as Assistant Professor of Instruction and Director of Clinical Education for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Residential Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Health Professions. Her role involves curriculum development and clinical training oversight.

Dr. Oppermann specializes in neurological rehabilitation, acute care, and pharmacology. Her clinical experience at Houston Methodist Hospital focused on early mobility in acute care settings and management of cerebrovascular accident patients with movement disorders. She is actively involved in professional organizations including the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA), and Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association (NDTA).
