Laura Lacombe Trejo

Laura Lacombe Trejo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, University of Valencia. She holds a PhD from the same university, awarded in 2023, for her research on psychosocial adaptation in adolescents with chronic endocrine diseases and their families.

Her research focuses on health psychology across the lifespan, with particular emphasis on adolescent mental health, attachment, perinatal loss, grief, emotional intelligence, and resilience. She is actively involved in studying the psychological impact of chronic illness, family dynamics, and the effects of global crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic on youth and caregivers.

Her extensive publication record includes over 130 articles, with recent work centered on dyadic coping, cyber violence, suicide prevention, and psychometric validation of psychological instruments. Her research often employs systematic reviews, longitudinal designs, and advanced statistical methods like QCA and SEM.

She is a member of the COEBIS research group (Communication, Emotions, Well-being and Occupational Health) and was previously part of the EMINA group focused on emotional education in youth. She collaborates closely with Dr. Francisco González Sala and contributes to several interdisciplinary projects involving mental health interventions, especially in school and clinical settings.
