Laura LaPorta serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy within Regis University's Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, bringing 22 years of physical therapist education experience including 15 years at Regis. Her academic roles encompass teaching human movement, musculoskeletal management, and psychosocial aspects of healthcare while serving on the Clinical Education Team.
An orthopedic specialist and nationally recognized pelvic health expert, Dr. LaPorta maintains active clinical practice through her ownership of Providence Physical Therapy, specializing in spine, hip, pelvis, obstetric, gynecological, urogenital, and chronic pain conditions affecting both men and women. Her research and clinical work extend to national speaking engagements on gender-specific health topics and ongoing clinical investigations.
As a dedicated mentor, she facilitates individualized clinical education experiences for graduate students while leading Providence Physical Therapy's clinical team. Her professional identity integrates Ignatian values of magis and integrity across teaching, research, clinical practice, and service within Regis University's Jesuit mission framework.
