Laura Dudley Jenkins is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Cincinnati with faculty affiliations in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Asian Studies. Her research examines social justice policies in culturally diverse democracies including India, Indonesia, South Africa, and the United States, with particular focus on religious freedom, mass conversion, and affirmative action.
Her award-winning book 'Religious Freedom and Mass Conversion in India' analyzes how religious freedom discourses impact marginalized groups. Current research investigates the relationship between religious freedom claims and women's rights in international law.
Professor Jenkins has received multiple fellowships including Fulbright awards and the Hubert Morken Best Book Prize from the American Political Science Association.
