Laura Guerrero Latorre

Laura Guerrero Latorre is a Lecturer in the Department of Biology at the University of Girona (UdG), specializing in Microbiology. She has held research and academic positions in multiple institutions, including postdoctoral work at Universidad de las Américas (Quito, Ecuador), technical support at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), and coordination roles in the Catalan Water Research Institute (ICRA) during the SARS-CoV-2 wastewater surveillance program.

• Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater
• Microbial source tracking using viral indicators

She has participated in technical coordination of EU water directive implementation and health indicator surveillance programs in Catalonia.
