Prof. Laura Grünberg is a Professor at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest. She is a leading figure in gender studies in Romania, specializing in the sociological analysis of gender, education, civil society, and urban spaces. Her work critically examines gender norms, fluidity, and their intersections with race, class, and ethnicity. She coordinates the academic journal AnaLize – Journal for Gender and Feminist Studies and led the 2018 Gender Barometer for Romania, a comprehensive study on gender dynamics. Additionally, she contributes to children’s literature, bridging academic and public engagement.
