معرفی
Laura Grigori is a Senior Researcher at Sorbonne University and Inria Paris, leading the Alpines project team. She was awarded the 2018 ERC Synergy Grant for her work on the Extreme-scale Mathematically-based Computational Chemistry (EMC2) project, collaborating with Eric Cancès, Yvon Maday, and Jean-Philip Piquemal. Her career spans interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mathematics, computer science, and chemistry.
Her research focuses on advancing molecular simulation software to overcome limitations in simulating large systems and strongly correlated electron interactions. Key innovations include data-minimizing algorithms for exascale architectures and tensor-based data compression methods, with applications in drug design, nanotechnology, and materials science.

Laura’s work is conducted through the Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory (UMR 7598), a collaborative hub between Sorbonne University, CNRS, and Paris-Nanterre University. The EMC2 project involves 12 permanent researchers and 17 international collaborators, aiming to recruit over 30 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to push computational boundaries.
