Laura Frahm is a Professor of Art, Film, and Visual Studies at Harvard University. She serves as the Director of Graduate Studies and investigates film and media through interdisciplinary lenses, including architecture, design, spatial theory, ecological thought, and process philosophy.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Theater, Film, and Television Studies, History of Art, and Romance Languages/Spanish (Cologne and Málaga)
- PhD in Theater, Film, and Television Studies from Humboldt University Berlin (2008)
Research Focus: Her work traces cinematic topologies of urban spaces, spatial configurations in music videos, and media experiments at the Bauhaus. Current projects include studies on ecological thought in post-Bauhaus design, cinema and process philosophy, and early cybernetic cinema.
