Laura E. Smith

Laura E. Smith is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the UB Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic at the University at Buffalo's Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences (College of Arts and Sciences). She specializes in clinical care for individuals with complex communication needs (CCN), particularly through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) solutions. Her work includes supporting patients with ALS/MND diagnoses via voice/message banking and AAC training.

She holds professional certifications including the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and New York State teaching and licensure credentials.
