Laura D. Young holds academic roles as an Associate Professor of Political Science at Georgia Gwinnett College and a Limited Term Lecturer at Purdue University’s Department of Political Science. She also serves as faculty for Aurora University’s online Master of Public Administration program. With a PhD in International Relations from Purdue University (2013), her research focuses on crisis impact on political systems, global climate change politics, and pedagogical innovations in teaching. Her work bridges security studies, environmental policy, and state capacity development.
