Laura Clévenot serves as a Research Fellow at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, affiliated with the Paris Doctoral School of Geography, while concurrently holding the position of Biodiversity Study Officer at SNCF Réseau within the Sustainable Transformation Department focusing on geography and planning.
Her research centers on Environmental Geography with emphasis on biodiversity-transport infrastructure interactions:
- Transport infrastructure as biodiversity refuges
- Motorway/railway management practices for biodiversity conservation
- Transport infrastructure roles in ecological networks (barriers/corridors)
- Amphibian management in French motorway basins
Geographical expertise spans Biodiversity, Landscape, Transport Systems, Ecological Continuities, and Wetland ecosystems.
Since 2022, she has piloted a CIFRE thesis partnership between SNCF Réseau and LADYSS laboratory investigating non-wildlife-dedicated structures in large ungulate (roe deer, wild boar) ecological networks to enhance rail network ecological transparency and reduce wildlife collisions.
